It is not possible to undertake repair of the crankpin and main journal of the crankshaft having small diameter & bearing width.

RA Power Solutions has successfully developed a dedicated onsite crankshaft grinding machine by which a small diameter and bearing width of crankpin and main journal grinding can be done.

The main advantage of this equipment is as following:

• RA Power Solutions is the first company in the world which can undertake crank pin grinding and polishing of the crankshaft having a small bearing width of even 40 mm.
• Due to small bearing width, no company is able to undertake the grinding onsite as they don’t have a very compact machine to undertake this job.
• The clients, mainly shipowners, had no option but to remove the crankshaft from the engine and send it to the workshop for grinding. The other option was to replace it. This was costing them exorbitantly.
• RA Power Solutions has undertaken repair of more than five hundred crankshafts of small bearing width & diameter successfully mainly installed on the vessel.
